Olympic-Medal-Winning Countries
This August, athletes and sports fans from all over the world will gather in Beijing, China, for the Olympic Summer Games. Since 1896, modern athletes have competed in sporting events to determine who is the best in the world. The prize at the first modern Olympic Games was a silver medal and an olive branch. Today, the top athletes take home gold, silver and bronze medals. Here are the countries that have won the most medals in the Summer Games.
