London's Latest Organic Mecca
Food-obsessed visitors to the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire, Britain, know to make a stop at the Bamford family's superchic organic farm, Daylesford, where they stock up on vegetables, beef, specialty foods and cheese, among other thingsall grown by traditional organic and sustainable methods. Londoners can also partake of this design-friendly organic mecca, thanks to a new 4,500-sq.-ft., three-story Daylesford Organic store in Pimlico. Spencer Fung Architects has re-created the clean look of the flagship farm shop with white wood, white marble and rustic touches like a wood fence in the food atrium. In addition to fresh food, there's a selection of kitchen and gardening equipment and organic wines. (44b Pimlico Road, 44 20 7881 8060 or daylesfordorganic.com)
